To Cut All Excess

Sometimes, passion grips us as we write, and we lose track of time… and words. If one were to read his piece, he could find some passages that are very well written, but he will without doubt find some much less needed others. At the very least, there will be a sentence that’s redundant.

And that must go to the bin.

Write drunk, edit sober is one my favorite quotes. I don’t take it literally though, contrarily to some people. I just like to think that one needs to lose himself into writing, drunk on passion, and then edit when his head has cooled down.

What do you think?

PS: This is my first blog, hence the frequent change of the theme. So, yeah, I’m not wordpress-savvy. Please bear with me for a little while until I get a better understanding of things ^^
